What does Community managed / CTO mean?
Version V0.0.2
Community managed / CTO means BEX approved a community operator through admin-reviewed social evidence.
This can be useful when a token has no available on-chain owner signal, for example after a community takeover. The badge does not mean the wallet is the original creator wallet, current mint authority, freeze authority, or metadata update authority.
Community managed / CTO is not:
- on-chain ownership proof;
- BEX verification proof;
- a safety rating;
- a trust-level upgrade;
- an endorsement by BEX.
What BEX checks
For a CTO/community operator claim, BEX asks the claimant wallet to sign a wallet challenge and asks the claimant to provide a project-linked social attestation, usually an X/Twitter post from a social account connected to the token through public market data such as DexScreener. Admins review the submitted post URL, the connected wallet, the mint, and the available social context before approval.
Raw social evidence stays internal to the review team unless BEX later publishes a separate evidence policy.
What happens if a stronger owner appears?
BEX may replace or supersede this status if a different party later provides stronger ownership evidence through the admin review process. Stronger evidence can include current Solana authority control or other higher-ranked owner proof.
BEX does not transfer a CTO-managed profile automatically. A stronger claim creates an admin review case first.
